When I heard about this one, I knew I had to try it! The promotion price was RM4.90 (Can you still get it at that price?). When it was first announced, I went to the nearest Family Mart to get myself one of these boba drinks (and some oden as well). I had to queue for half an hour because there were that many people there!

What interested me was how they prepared the boba! Obviously they didn't make it there at Family Mart. But the interesting fact about it was the boba was frozen in that brown sugar and was packaged in small container, each container for 1 order. 

When they had an order, they'll take one small container, put it in a microwave for a couple of minutes to melt the frozen boba and boom! Done! Hot brown sugar boba, ready to be made into a drink. Then, they just open the package, pour the hot boba into an empty cup and topped up with some cool and delicious fresh milk. All the brown sugar goodness mixed with the milk. YUMMY!

I had a taste and I'd have to say, definitely not bad at all. In fact, for such a cheap price, it tasted really great! The brown sugar boba itself tasted nice and sweet enough for me.
